With only water and plaster, professional artists from 12 different countries transform the masterpieces of the Flemish Masters into 3D physical sculptures.
The main paintings of Hieronymus Bosch, Jan van Eyck and Hans Memling were reproduced into one giant sculpture of 265 meters long with a ceiling height of 2.6 meters.
The artists processed no less than 22 tonnes of gypsum powder in a consecutive period of 70 days to 707 m² of sculptures.
To give you an example: the Garden of Delights from Bosch is originally about 8 m² in size, in the 3D Museum the triptych has become no less than 360 m². More than 220 characters of the authentic canvas were examined and designed in full-size 3D.
